Pricing and overtime policy

During business hours, we charge the indicated standard rates.

If someone requests an urgent request outside of business hours, we charge the overtime rate, which is 1.5 times the standard rate (standard rate + 50%).

Work requested before, at, or after the normal working hours will be only worked on at the next standard working hours, unless otherwise specified, which will then incur the overtime rate if the work falls outside the standard working hours.

Work requests just prior to working hours ending will be worked on normally until those work hours finish. The remaining work will be rolled over beginning at the next standard working hours, unless otherwise specified, which will then incur the non-standard rate of standard + 50% if the work falls outside the standard working hours.

For example, if a client requests work at 3pm on Friday, to be finished before 6am the next morning, and the work takes 3 hours, then the overtime rate will apply.

In the case of per hour rates, the standard rate applies during normal hours and the overtime rate applies during overtime hours. In the above example, the client would be charged one hour at the standard rate and two hours at the overtime rate (1 x standard + 2 x overtime).

In the case of per word pricing that lapses into overtime, the overtime rate will apply at all times.

We do not work overtime unless specifically requested.
